Content & Code License
Effective: 2026-05-20
This page covers the licensing matrix across the Crosshire surfaces — Consulting at crosshire.ch, Blogs at blogs.crosshire.ch, Learn at learn.crosshire.ch, and FitScore at fitscore.crosshire.ch. The summary: code under MIT, prose under reserved rights with attributed quoting allowed.
1. Site content
All text, images, diagrams, illustrations, and editorial layout published on any Crosshire surface are © Crosshire / Darshan Singh, all rights reserved, unless otherwise stated on the specific page. You may not reproduce, republish, or redistribute substantial portions of the content without prior written permission.
2. Code snippets — MIT
Code blocks embedded inside Blogs and Learn pages are licensed under the MIT License unless the snippet itself carries a different licence header. You are free to copy, modify, and reuse code samples from posts and chapters in your own projects, including commercial work, provided you keep the MIT notice when redistributing substantial portions and do not imply endorsement by Crosshire.
The application source code in this repository is also MIT-licensed — see the LICENSE file at the root of the repository.
3. Per-surface notes
3.1 Consulting (crosshire.ch)
Marketing copy, service descriptions, case studies, and visual identity are reserved. Deliverables produced under a signed consulting engagement are licensed per that engagement's statement of work — separate from this page.
3.2 Blogs (blogs.crosshire.ch)
Prose is reserved. Readers may quote short excerpts (under ~150 words) for non-commercial use with attribution and a link to the canonical post URL. Code snippets inside posts are MIT (§2). Diagrams and OG images are reserved unless the post body explicitly grants a wider licence.
3.3 Learn (learn.crosshire.ch)
Chapter prose, exercises, vocabulary lists, and audio (when present) are reserved. Readers may quote short excerpts with attribution for non-commercial educational use. Code samples inside chapters are MIT (§2). Translations are not authorised without prior written permission.
3.4 FitScore (fitscore.crosshire.ch)
Your input data — the CV and JD you upload — is yours. Crosshire processes it solely to generate your Summary, under the licence granted in §9 of the Terms. Generated Summaries are produced for your personal use (or, for recruiter accounts, for screening candidates you have a lawful basis to consider). You may not resell or redistribute Summaries as a stand-alone product. See the FitScore EULA for the acceptable-use specifics.
4. Trademarks
"Crosshire", the Crosshire logo, "Crosshire Journal", and "Crosshire Score" are unregistered trademarks of Darshan Singh. You may not use these marks, or any confusingly similar marks, in a way that suggests endorsement by, affiliation with, or origin from Crosshire without prior written permission. Nominative fair use — referring to Crosshire by name to identify it — is fine.
5. Requests & attribution
For permissions beyond what this page grants, or to credit a Crosshire source in your own work, email darshansingh@crosshire.ch. The preferred attribution string is on each Blog post in the "Cite this article" block; for Learn chapters and the FitScore product, use Singh, D. (2026). Crosshire. https://crosshire.ch.
