Cookie Notice

Effective: 2026-05-20

Crosshire aims to keep its footprint on your device minimal across all four surfaces (Consulting at crosshire.ch, Blogs at blogs.crosshire.ch, Learn at learn.crosshire.ch, and FitScore at fitscore.crosshire.ch). This page explains what we store and why.

1. Essential cookies

Strictly-necessary first-party cookies operate Crosshire — your session on FitScore, CSRF protection on form submissions across all surfaces, and the cookie-banner consent flag (see §6). These are required for the service to function and do not require consent under EU rules. They are set as HttpOnly and SameSite=Strict where supported, and expire at the end of your session or after a fixed inactivity period.

2. Authentication (FitScore only)

FitScore uses magic-link sign-in. After you click your link, a session cookie is set so you stay signed in. The Consulting, Blogs, and Learn surfaces do not require sign-in today and set no authentication cookies.

3. Analytics

Aggregated traffic analytics across all surfaces use Plausible Analytics. Plausible is privacy-friendly and does not set any cookies, does not collect personal data, and does not track users across sites or devices. Because Plausible is cookieless, no consent prompt is required for analytics.

4. No advertising trackers

None of the Crosshire surfaces embed advertising networks, social media pixels, or third-party scripts that set tracking cookies. We do not run targeted advertising and we do not share data with ad networks.

5. Local storage

Some surfaces use your browser's local storage to remember small preferences — theme on FitScore, Learn course progress, dismissed banners. Local-storage entries stay on your device and are not transmitted to our servers unless they are required for the request you are making. You can clear them at any time through your browser settings.

6. Cookie-banner consent storage

When a cookie banner is shown (currently on the Consulting and Blogs surfaces), your choice is stored in a single first-party cookie (or local-storage entry) named to indicate consent state. This is itself a strictly-necessary record needed to honour your preference and avoid re-prompting on every page load.

7. Your choices

You can control cookies and local storage through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies will affect features that rely on them (e.g. staying signed in to FitScore). Because we do not use advertising or tracking cookies, there is no third-party opt-out to manage.

8. Updates

If we ever introduce additional cookies or trackers, this page will be updated with a new effective date and, where required, we will ask for your consent before any non-essential cookie is set.
